Haven’t posted in a long time (or even been on here). I did this back in June. I’ve started school again and am frantically trying to finish my oak desk, which is where I’ll be sanding/oiling this morning after this post.
This was made as a wedding gift for my cousin. It’s yellow birch with, I believe, some sort of cherry ply on the back. A couple of rare earth magnets offset were used to create the strength to keep the door where the pegs and cards are at closed. Burnt is the Missouri R. and the lake(s) are Devils Lake and some other lakes around our home stomping ground (magnified X2 for better detail). I make my own hole patterns which is very tedious but I like the way this one turned out, my best board so far.
Thanks for looking!
