Random Striped Rolling Pin

This french tapered rolling pin is laminated with Hard Maple, Ambrosia Maple, Cherry, a bit of Walnut, and the random Stripes are Bloodwood, I started to make another Celtic Knot, then decided to see what it would look like if I cut only halfway through the blank, and I just made some random cuts, this is the result. finished with mineral oil and beeswax.

I have never seen a french rolling pin, but it is a nice one. The bloodwood gives it character.

Using the same technique can create some lovely wine stoppers, too.
