Mango Stump/Root Bowl

This piece of Mango root came from a stump which weighed approx. 5 ton.

The bowl measures 8×2.5” and is sanded to 400grit and sprayed with Satin Lacquer.

Another great turning Bob, nice color and grain in that mango, have you got the rest of the stump?

I like this Bob it reminds me of walnut streaked with sapwood, looks as if there was a bit of end grain turning on this one,but the finish still came out great.

Very pretty piece of mango…. and really nice job finishing the bowl.

Beautiful bowl I hope to turn my first real bowl this week. I have to glue up some stock, wish me luck.

Awesome bowl! Great shape and the wood is gorgeous with those pretty grains. Excellent turning!
