After surviving “The Winter That Would Not End” here in North Idaho (last snow storm June 20), I finally finished my wife’s new computer desk.
It is built of 3/4 oak plywood and solid oak trim, doors and drawers.
Doors are rail and style construction and I used the pocket hole system a lot.
There is a three way halogen light system in the hutch top and it is finished with Minwax Early American stain and Deft lacquer top coat.
The whole project is designed around the salvaged brass and leaded glass in the hutch door.
Even though it took ten months to complete, Wifey likes how it turned out. So now i’ll go build another clock!!

Good work Ray, doesn’t matter how long it takes, as long as you stay at it, which you obviously did.

Nice one! I also see someone who’s into Scouting!
(Hey…Newegg.com always has sales on their LCD monitors. You’ll love the desk space you’ll get by upgrading!)
