Wine box wedding box.

A customer is getting married and there is a new fad of putting a bottle of wine and letters to each other in a box at your wedding. You close the box and put it on the mantel until your fifth anniversary when you open it up, drink the wine and read the letters. The box is made from eastern red cedar. The lid is framed with hard maple. The customer is going to finish it themselves. I’m gonna suggest watco. Does that sound like a good idea?

Looks good with nice custom explained for letter space. I like it—simple but meaningful for a wedding present. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, he’s going to buy a custom brand or something to put their names on it.

Instead of buying a custom brand, it would probably be a lot cheaper to find some printer that could use a laser to burn their names on the wood. Just a suggestion and something to maybe recommend.

Beautiful box Bill and a great idea for a wedding gift. Th red cedar and maple make an excellent match for the box…well done.

Thanks guys. Haven’t made many boxes. Maybe I’ll make more.
