So my 7 year old has decided to start a wood working club. if I provide the wood and tools I can be a member. Our first project is her own tool chest. Anna’s tool box is complete….she now has access to her own hammer (shudder). Daddy daughter project done. She did really well when I made her do most of the work herself. Her favorite part was spray painting golden glitter. The top she left natural wood cause she thought the pinkish knot was pretty. Topped it off with 5 coats of poly.

She is very cool! I can’t get any of my nephews interested – bummer.

I see that she is like my great grandson, if you are going to be a woodworker, you need workboots, not
shoes. Isn’t it great when they let you help. Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have many wonderful
years with this great little lady.

I’ve got 2 boys and they have no desire to have anything to do with wood. Consider yourself lucky. Those dues are pretty cheap if you ask me, and you get to be a vice too.

Have your say...
