WLA Planer Cart

After a struggle to revive a Craigslist DeWalt 735 planer, a funny story – see my blog, I thought it deserved to be put a pedestal. Well, at least a better place than my old Delta planer that was always balanced on a Black & Decker workstation.

And it seemed appropriate to put the 735 though it paces during the build. So, the planer cart was built with WLA, Whatever’s Laying Around. Awful Douglar Fir 2×4s carefully cleaned and run through the planer. Some birch plywood a pine board. With hardware I probably have $60+ in the project.

I am pleased with the fact that I gained badly needed storage space, not to mention a 92 lbs machine is now mobile.

Hey, some of my WLA projects turn out to be some of my best work. The cart(or pedestal) looks good. Thanks for sharing.
