I finished the coffee table project. All solid Cherry with Walnut banding and leg insert. The piece measures 48×28 x 17” H. The top started as 8 pcs of 4/4 (various widths) glued up with biscuits and hand planed smooth to just a less than 7/8. The #6 Stanley came in handy for that. I finished it with a coat of Minwax Teak Oil and after 2 days drying time (you were right Finisherman) 5coats of water based Varathane on the top and 2 on the rest. After 2 more days I rubbed the top down with paste wax and 0000 steel wool. I got a bit heavy with the wax so I have some serious buffing to do. Thanks fer lookin’. Mark

Fantastic! That’s a beautiful piece of furniture for your home. I like the contrasting leg inserts.

Wonderful coffee table! Love the great design especially the legs. The top is gorgeous with the walnut banding. Excellent work!
