I have a friend that works at martin guitar and he was kind enough to give me some pieces of scrap mahogany from the ends of the boards they don’t use. it’s about 6 inched wide. it took two pieces of the mahogany glued together to make the blank. I gave this bowl to my friend that gave me the wood and I still cant thank him enough for the wood. I hope you enjoy it and have a nice day.

That is a beautiful bowl you made. It looks flawless. Great job. Nice that you remember those who give wood donations. Keep up the good work and be on the lookout for fallen trees.

Nice bowl. Love the color and grain. I noticed the foot is very thin- mark of a good turner! I agree with doubled- give something to those who are give you wood. What finish did you use?

actually all I did was put a paste wax on it to protect it, I thought it didn’t need an added
finish.

Looks good, like the beautiful shape especially the thin base. Great turning piece!
