This is a wedding gift for my sister-in-law. It was commissioned by my wife, who wanted a cutting board with woodburning to commemorate the event. The design was left up to me.

The cutting board is cherry and maple. I used a Colwood Detailer to burn in three of the flower species that will be in the wedding; orchids, calla lillies, and roses. The leaves for the orchids and calla lilles were placed below the flowers. Cross-hatching was used to detail the orchids, whereas shading alone was used for the calla lillies. Finish was French polish.

Thanks for looking, and if anyone knows the bride and groom, please keep this a secret until the wedding day! :)

You dont REALLY think they’ll ever actually CUT something on this do you? :-) It’ll be hung on a wall as a display for ever.

VERY nice gift!

Beautiful cutting board, the wood burning designs are really intricate and detailed. It’s very hard to cut on to it. It will be great to display in the living room.

Have your say...
