Bowling alley lane miter box table

Old bowling alley lanes converted into the heaviest miter box table this site of the Mississippi. My uncle actually remembers these lanes being nailed together one piece at a time by 6 farmers when he was a kid. Been wanting some for a long time just didn’t want to spend the money. He gave me over 70 feet for free! Planning on building a cabinet underneath..that is when I find wood strong enough to hold it up!

that is one beefy table wish I had some of that maple lookin large

There’s overkill, and then there’s this…lol.
My first thought was workbench top.
At least you know nobody is going to walk off with it.
Must have been fun to cut.

Hahaha completely unnessasary but looks killer..I had so much of it I couldn’t help my self! Yes I destroyed a circular saw cutting it was just my cheapo

70FT for free!! I bought 15ft several years ago. Cutting it down to size for a 9ft bench was not a lot of fun, way too many nails. Ended up using Maple for the base. Have no idea how much it weights but the movers were not to happy with me when I moved a couple years ago.
