Project Information

Me and my wife organised the first knysnawoodworkers festival in 2012.we had lots of fun, stress, sleepless nights, new frends but overall at the end it was considered a sucsess. This door and entrance was build with the help of a friend Robbie ponting who did the carvings and door. The roof was made out of 6mm ply the rest was made out of salvaged trees that was blown over in a storm, and logs that came of the beach.

Great work Johan. Aside from the entrance (which is awesome), lots of good stuff in the pictures, especially the canoe.

I visited Knysna back in 2008 and found it to be a gorgeous area. Enjoyed the beaches, oysters and pinotage. Would love to make it back there someday.

SeanRed, I am right in there with you..would love to take a bike ride to see, (slight dilemma) - I think it might have been held across the pond, over in South Africa perhaps. Not sure

Chris, I am only 600 k's away, and I have a sister who lives in Knysna, so I have a place to stay. SA indeed, and a great ride down.

Wow! I looks great and authentic, like the great carving and salvage of the woods. It's a fitting entrance to the great festival. Great job!
