Bird House

This is a birdhouse I made with only a handsaw, chisels and files. Yes, The hole for the birds was too big, but I was not sure if the small circled that every birdhouse has was gonna be sufficient for this design. It did not come out great as a birdhouse but I thought my design was pretty good. I gave the finished product to my neighbors so their kids could paint it.

SORRY ABOUT THE PICTURES, THEY KEEP UPLOADING UPSIDE DOWN I AM NOT SURE HOW TO FIX THIS.

Very interesting. Most people would have put the roof on top. Unique! ;-)

I Like the birdhouse but do you really have your bandsaw hinging on the roof?

Nice looking birdhouse, but shouldn’t you have some drainage holes in the roof so all the water can drain out?

Looks like the birds can fly right through the house – acrobatics!

Nice build

Thank you all. Dutchy, I don’t have a bandsaw, everything was done with a handsaw. And also sorry for the pictures being upside down, I don’t know why it’s doing that. on my computer they are all up right.

Lumberjocks is not doing that to the pictures. You rotated them on your computer, but did not save the changes to the image file. So, although they appear rotated, the images are exactly as they were originally. That’s why they look like that when uploaded.

Well I never rotated my pictures on my computer. Maybe it’s the fact that I took the pictures on my phone? All I did with the pictures is email it to myself and save it on my computer. No rotating or changing any settings.

If you enter the folder where you saved the pictures, then you can double click them to start windows slide show. Then just click the rotate button until they are right side up – windows will rotate them for you. If you’re in Win7 or Vista, windows will also save it for you if you arrow over to the next one. Otherwise click the save button also.

It’s really a lot easier than your woodworking project!
