My sister-in-law wanted to help my brother tidy up his home office area. I finished this project just in time for his birthday in May 2013. It’s all red oak purchased at The Borg. 1×12’s for the sides and shelves. Larger stock was cut down to make the face frame parts. Add some 1/4” oak ply for the back. The uprights on the top portion are glued and pin nailed into dadoes. The uprights and shelves are interlocking “torsion box” if you will while the ends are secured in dadoes. Sanded to 150 and stained with Minwax Early American. Top coat is spray lacquer done at a local finishing shop. Now John can keep the dog treats separate from the expense sheets!

Great looking organizer/ shelves! Gorgeous wood and functional design. I’m sure it will serve him well for many years. Great work!
