I built this toybox for my Godson, Paxton, in 2011.
I got the idea out of a magazine but the vast majority of design came from me.
It was one of my first projects and decided to use simple pine and birch from homedepot.
Tongue and Groove was used throughout the entire project.
I made a jig that would allow me to cut a Louisville slugger in half with my table saw.
I drilled holes in min-bats to create sliding door handles for the top.
They were bolted in and then excess screws where cut off with my dremel.
Plastic Stoppers were screwed in to prevent the doors handles from slamming into one another.
My Godson loved it.
