Gift box with sliding lid

Made out of pine and redwood fence boards with hand tools except for a drill. This was a last minute gift box for a trip home visiting my parents. I wrote about its construction on my blog. The sliding top was inspired by traditional Japanese toolboxes.

That is an interesting slide lid. It is not what I was expecting. Nice job.
