Marine Footlocker

I wanted to pass my old cammies and odd assortment of my Marine gear to my nephews, so I made a quick footlocker out of plywood and pine scraps and painted it green. I also threw some bumper stickers on it.

The size of it is probably 2/3 the size of a real one, and some of the paint came off of it while assembling, but as I recall, the bootcamp footlockers were in rough shape anyways. Drill Instructors just loved throwing these things around the squad bay.

So if you are thinking of passing some of your stuff to your kids or nephews, these are easy to make. Find yourself some scraps and throw some paint on it.

OHH RAH and Semper Fi. I really like it. Brings back memories of my DI’s tossing foot lockers around the squad bay while we did 8 count body builders.

Thank you for your service & very nice project.

I actually like the ‘feel’ that the chipped paint gives it – in fact I think it looks better that way.
