I have had my cheap little HF drill press attached to a corner of my work tables since I got it. That makes keeping that area clean a real PITA.

So this morning I used up some 0.25 culled lumber from HD that has been taking up space in my shop for a few months to knock together this cheap simple little stand for it that can be moved around and tucked away when not in use. I might put casters on it at some point but for now this is a big improvement over it’s old home.

Tools used.. a hand saw and hand drill.. total build time.. 2 hours.

It aint pretty but it works…

I had a one of those drills for about 15 years. I gave it away after I got my floor model. For a cheap little drill it did great. I set mine on a bench. Nice work putting together a place for it.

If it works for you is the right thing to do, that’s all it matters… well done
