Nothing monumental . . . just having fun and keeping my hands busy. One was carved for our Independence Day and the other two are going to be painted white to be worn for a formal occasion with a Tux – all with Basswood. I have two others in the works in Lacewood. Zebra wood might be good for this? The hardest part was carving all the way through the fold. Purist or not, it was too time consuming to cut through by hand, so I drilled a hole first and cut the rest of the fold with a scroll saw. By the way . . . I haven’t figured out how to program my drill and scroll saw so it could do the job while I go sip a tall one by the beach. I didn’t use a CNC machine since I don’t own one.

Critiques/suggestions are always welcome.

Exquisite! No programmed machine could ever (well not currently) match your level of craftsmanship, and I hope it never does. Outstanding.

That is really cool. I love the patriotic paint scheme that you picked. Thanks for posting.

Super job on the ties. I would have to have one of these since I wouldn’t know how to tie one :).
