Nothing all that different than a lot of others you see. Looked at several and combined what worked for me. Candy anyone?

I think they are something special. Nice take off on single units. You should let us know how you built them and pictures if you have them.

They look awesome! What did you use for a finish? I used tung oil on one that I built and you could actually taste it in the candy!

I agree. Would like to see how you built them. The look awesome.

Tim, Thanks for looking. I used a lacquer finish and I was in a hurry to use them and the candy did absorb some of the smell of the finish. After that I made sure the finish had a chance to harden before I put candy in them.
I think I would stay away from the oils as a finish and pick something that finishes a little harder and allows you to clean them without drying out the finish.
I didn’t take any “in progress” shots on these but I will on the next to show the steps of building them.

Awesome looking. They look just as good as the goodies. Just a tip, try using salad bowl finish next time. It has worked for me in the past on bowls and plates and has a very durable finish. Thanks for sharing.
