Just completed this dining set for the kitchen. All cherry with a Arm a Seal finish. Chairs are Kevin Rodel design. Table is a simple 3 X 5 top mounted on tapered legs. Gandpa Doodie’s class on Lumberjocks was very helpful.

Thanks for the nice compliments. I like Rodel’s design. Very reasonable (not easy), for my first chair building attempt.

I can’t believe you only have one picture of this fine dining set! We need more pictures!
I have the plans, waiting for the right moment to build a few of these chairs.
Did you stick with the half lap dovetails, or use Grandpa’s method on the lower cross rails?

Nice work. This set would elevate any home to a veritable showroom, and it certainly looks great in your home.

I cheated and used dominoes for all of the side, back, and front rails. Was much easier to control all of the angles on the side rails. I used mortise and tenon on the back splat.

Very nice work. Are you planning to keep the place mats on the table all the time? If so, the cherry may get darker in the uncovered areas.

Enjoy!!
