So I decided to make something special and that I haven’t done before for my girlfriends birthday. I have decided to make a sculpted box and it came up pretty nicely. Only thing that I messed up was one of the corners on a lid but she didn’t even notice it, and when I said that to her she didn’t mind at all. So overall, success :).

The box is made of English oak and Ash and the finish is quite straightforward…my own beeswax mix.

Cheers

That turned out very well. I don’t see any mistakes at all.

Very cool, how’d you make the contours?

Answer is simple- Angle grinder. Andy (the guy above your comment :) ) has a very very good tutorial on that. Check it out.
