I got bored one day and decided to make a mug. And I did, about 50 once people seen the one I made. Lol I cut circles with my bandsaw, 5 for each mug, you can make as big and tall as you want, with my cool jig, then drilled holes and cut center out with scroll saw, save one for bottom, don’t need drink on the lap, then glued together and clamped overnight. Sanded inside with drill sander block I made, glued on the bottom, clamped till good and dry, added a handle to some, painted and sealed with food grade poly! I was quite impressed with myself:)

Well done! You deserve to be proud and impressed with yourself!

Wish I could help with the sideways pics, but I’ve had that same issue with posting pictures before.

They do look great, They do not leak? On the last 2 I see some art work drawn on them are you gonna paint them or carve them? or are they done?
I hope I get to see more of these!
I vote for a blog on these!

Actually they don’t leak, I use the food grade sealer, safe to use. They are not dishwasher safe, but warm soapy water cleans them up, most people just like them for display so far, I am going to paint the colt one for my brothers grave site, and wood burn the Spider-Man for my sons room:) I will be making more, I have made prob 30 different ones for people. I sold them for $10. I made most of them from pine. Takes a couple days to make. Blog would be a good idea, I’ll keep that in mind;)

Thanks for the info, I think for the amount of work it sounds like $10.00 is a little to low!
Maybe $25.00 would be better, sounds like a lot but where you gonna get a one of a kind wooden mug at!
Good luck!

They look awesome…except that one with that horrible blue and orange. I think you should have gone with something a little more purple and gold ;)
