Inspired by Marc Spagnuolo video No. 130. Made from one piece of walnut. Quite funny experience when making this. Present for my wife, to put nuts, peanuts, pistaccios etc in it on Chrismas table.

Hmmm, thought acorns grew on oak trees… not walnuts… Don’t walnuts grow on walnut trees? LOL I can’t recall what a peanut tree looks like… (uh, sorry… )
Nicely done… Never tried this… think I will file it away for future reference… could be a fun project with right set up.

Thanks for coments. Yes Jim, it was made with patern and router. There is some symbolism in it since first three letters of my surname in english means ’’acorn’’ (’’ŽIR’’ ović).

Just usual glossy warnish, 3 layers. I don’t have much choice here. In stores you can by only glossy or non glossy warnish and some one or two types of wooden oils. In US as I can see there are planty of finishes with possibilities that I can’t even imagine.
