Project Information

Simple diaper changing table for our 2nd child (due any day now!) Sorry for the blurry picture, taken with my phone. Though it nicely hides my poor painting and gap filling skills.

I wanted to do hardwood with stain, but the wifey likes simple white for the nursery. Mostly pine with MDF shelving, total of about 100$ for the wood. This thing is darn heavy, but solid. Once the baby's older will convert it into a bookshelf.

couple of firsts with this project.

Used my Ridgid table saw for the first time to make this one, first miter cuts for the molding (which was store bought…need a router next).

It looks like a nice project to me. I'll bet that you really enjoyed making it since it was for your second child. Nice work, Dad.

thanks Charles. I think I enjoyed it more at the end than during the build. It was sort of a last minute decision to build this thing and being my 2nd project, the biggest one that I've tackled. I was in a bit of a frenzy to finish before the baby was born which contributed to a lot of errors and head scratching. Overall i'm pretty happy with it, flaws and all.
