And the largest slab of oak I have ever glued…>! This completes the dining set. Again a Rober tLang drawing. Thanks to my wood working buddy Gary Zimmel in Canada for supplying me with the full size templates for the curves.
Wow you made the table as well as the 8 chairs…..amazing work, the table looks great. Excellent craftsmanship on making the table and the chairs….fantastic job.
What a beast! They just don't make them like that anymore.
I really like the keyed tenons, what a great look.
I built my Twin Tenon table with two large through tenons at each end. It is a secret pleasure every time someone racks their knee on one. Reminds me of a favorite quote…
"I have been black and blue in some spot, somewhere, almost all of my life from too intimate contacts with my own furniture" -- Frank Lloyd Wright
Can you provide a bit more detail on the type of wood..thickness.. glue up of the verticals..etc.. great looking..would help us if we try to duplicate.
Outstanding work on the chairs and table! I am really glad that I didn't have to move the table. I also think your other projects are equally great. Truly inspirational.
Nice job,Did you have to beef up your floor joists to keep them from sagging under all that weight.
looks like the table my son-in-law and I made a few years ago.We made 6 chairs never made the arm chairs to go with it
