This is a laminated wooden box that I made for my wife awhile back. The wood is walnut and maple. I made a single laminated piece in two halves so that it would be easier to fit in the pieces for the heart. Once I had the two halves created I glued them together to form the heart. I tried to cut almost all the way through from the back side at 45 degree angles as described in “The Amazing Fold –up Keepsake Box” article in the November 2011 issue of wood magazine. I was pretty close but should have tried it on a larger project first.
Thanks for looking, comments and critiques welcome.
