Here is my Green Wing Teal Hen that I recently finished. It took me a long time to do since I only work on it a few hours a week. I did enter it into the Pacific Flyway Decoy Ass. show and took a first in Novice Division and Third in my Category.

I love wooden decoys. Your decoy is exquisite. From observing real ducks vs ducks portrayed in art and carvings, I think the most difficult part to get right is the beak. Your’s looks spot on! Is it possible to post progress pictures?

Terrific work! We have several decoys and yours is up there with the quality of our best one, a green-winged teal.

Ivan,

Your workmanship is astounding! We can’t even begin to imagine how you could glue on all those feathers! LOL

Well deserved ribbon!

Third? Are the judges blind??! I thought this was a real duck until I saw the other pics… Awesome detail on this, honestly! Great job!

Wow! Only a decoy? I thought it’s the real thing. It looks amazing, every detail is well crafted especially the feathers. Impressive work!
