”BeaT ” NAME PLAQUE FOR THE BEAT SCHOOL OF DANCE CENTRAL ENGLAND MADE FROM 30MM THICK BUBINGA A TROPICAL AFRICAN TIMBER. VERY HEAVY DENSE WOOD WITH AMAZING FIRE WATERFALL FIGURE. USED FOR SPECIALIZED PROJECTS GUITARS & DRUMS ECT. CUTTING 30MM THICK BUBINGA ON A 15 YEAR OLD SCROLL SAW WAS FUN ! 5 BLADES LATER IT TOOK SHAPE. LOTS OF SANDING A DASH OF TUNG OIL AND PLENTY OF WAX POLISHING. ALMOST 1.5 INCH THICK 5 INCH HIGH AND 12 INCH WIDE AND 1.3 KILO , YES KILOS IS THAT FUNNY METRIC STUFF.
LOVE THIS TIMBER WORTH ALL THE HARD WORK.. BAZZA.

Wowsa. That Bubinga can be pretty tricky to work with, but it sure looks like you figured out its’ secrets.

My BUBINGA name plaque has gone down a storm here with the Beat School Of Dance !
Not only have I recieved rave reviews on Facebook but I been asked to make copies for others in the dance group, Although they will not be made of Bubinga they will more likely be White Oak or Cherry.
Thanks everyone for your support…. BAZZ.
