Went to a garage sale and found a box of small pieces of driftwood. I had no idea what type of wood it was or where it came from. I started cutting and decided to make a bandsaw box. The cutting was easy, but the sanding and shaping took a little bit. I still have no idea what type of wood it is. I put some metal handles in each of the drawers for a different feel. I like the idea of wood and metal. It’s a cool look.

great work with the bandsaw! More of a challenge without a flat side. As for the wood, it looks to be a cypress knee. I have a few of them myself and wondering what to do with them. Thanks for the idea.

I’ll have to agree with Jim that it is a cypress knee. My Mrs. has about 30 or 40 in her painting studio. She paints them into Santa Clause’s.
