My first attempt at making Adirondack chairs and accessories. My goal was not to use paint and hide as many of the fasteners as possible. I have always like the look and feel of cedar so that’s what I used here.
The footstool is convertible, with the ability of standing on all 4 legs or kneeling to allow comfortable use with the Adirondack Chair I’ll be making next.
I used urethane Spar finish (3 + coats) to protect against moisture. They will be used and stored on an enclosed porch so I’m hoping the finish will protect the chairs for a long time.
I’m working on two Adirondack chairs now, I will post their pictures soon.

Thank you for looking, I love woodworking. I never know what will come out of my shop next!

They are all beautiful and well crafted. Great work especially hiding the fasteners and the rounded corners. Can’t wait to see the chairs.

Have your say...
