I must say that Brian Hubel was a huge influence in this project. If you google his “Slim” hall table you will certainly see the design. However this is my interpretation and I am well pleased with the out come.

In a few weeks my students will reproduce this. I can’t wait to show you how they get on. :)

You will find 5 more short videos in the video section of LJs or double click on this video and it should take you to my youtube channel.

Cheers,
Andy.

I’ve watched the build and you might also add the blog posts to this? Maybe a larger perspective picture/ You do great work. I’m sure your students will have a blast!

This looks fantastic, and it’s the most inspiring concept I have seen in a long time. Well done Sir.

Andy- beautiful work. Simple lines can sometimes be the most difficult depending on joinery.

Wow! I entered my hall table in the National Wood Skills held competition held in Kawerau New Zealand. There are a whole bunch of category’s and Yee Ha I got first in the furniture section.

GREAT!!!

I’m happy for you. Now you just have to learn to take the time to do a visual presentation that shows it off? Ya deserve it!
