This is one of those big projects that seems to take me forever. I think the glass kept me from finishing the top half for way to long. Finally worked up the courage to tackle that part and now wonder why I waited so long. This is from plans at the New Yankee Workshop for a Bathroom Cabinet, my son wants to put is HO scale trains in it so we extended it forward about 4 inches from Norms plans. I never thought that I would have enough tools to do one of Norms creations but my wood shop and my skills have grown considerably over the years. As you can see I used some very figured pieces of maple which look great but required a lot of work to get them flat and some tricks to make them smooth. It was great fun and I learned a lot would not hesitate to do a glass project again now that the first is under my belt. Maple construction, tapered glass, and finished in satin wipe on poly.
