I built this white oak mailbox to replace the old one that was showing some age.
All white oak , 4×4 cedar post inside.
Mortise and tenon work with gorilla glue where needed.
Hand cut cedar shingles.
been outside over two months now shows no flaws in finish.
Sealed with Cetol.
It was a joy to build and have had two requests to build similar ones in the neighborhood.

Great looking mailbox. Never see mailboxes like that in Perth suburbs they are mostly all brick, cement or metal mailboxes attached to the fence. Maybe I will have to build one and start a US in Australia trend…lol Any way your mailbox is great…nice job.

Good looking mailbox! Great design, looks really sturdy and it will even look better with age. Well done!
