Tiger Maple Bread Board

A thin cutting board I’ve made for my daughter’s birthday in showy tiger maple. It’s 22” long and 8” wide, but only 7/16” thick because I had to plane down a cupped board. Dyed and oiled, hand rubbed but no further finish. She had asked for a “big ol’ cutting board” last Christmas, and this will be a surprise because it’s not exactly what she expected, but hey…

That’ll show her. Ha! I just love messing with the kids minds. And what can they say?

Love the look of that one Barb. The dye really made it pop,

Perfect bread board. You did a good job highlighting the figure of the wood. Now, work on the big one.

Very pretty bread board, the tiger maple is just gorgeous and the finish enhanced it. Lucky daughter to have it.
