I’ve made around 30 butcher blocks and finally decided to post some photos. #1: leopardwood, Kentucky coffeewood, yellowheart, tigerwood; #2: shedua, hickory; #3: maple, birch; #4: bloodwood, maple, birch; #5: bubinga, lacewood, leopardwood, yellowheart; #6: top two are bloodwood, maple, birch and bottom is walnut, birch, yellowheart

Well done : ) What finish do you use on them ?

Thank you. I usually finish them with mineral oil or walnut oil (if I have time to let the oil cure), and sometimes I’ll finish up with an application of beeswax.

More boards…I like the lighter patterned block best.

Mineral oil is also my preference : )

Those are really attractive, like the wild patterns and the variety of wood colors. Great job!
