I built this drawer to hold my marking and measuring tools because previously the didn’t have a home. They were just sort of put here or there and it was adding to my steps every time I needed something. I wanted something that would be accessible from both sides of the bench since it’s mobile and I wanted it easily removable because sometimes I take things outside for the occasional large project.

The drawer is built from recycled drawer wood and is put together by simple rabbet and dado joints which are glued and nailed. The sliding tray is all just butt joints.

Looks alot like my drawer! And that’s what I kept in it early on, too. You’ll always have one now, congrats!
