July 19th and 20th this year in Nevis, MN. My wife bought up a vendor slot at the vendor fair (think flee market) for our collection of craft goods. The plushies and dolls are stuff my mother makes to supplement her income. She’s had 4 aneurisms, and a few strokes so a regular job is not possible for her. The metal goods are from my m.i.l.’s greenhouse. If you look close you can spot my new array of business card and napkin/letter/envelope holders. The base on those are all white oak. The uprights are pieces of highly figured hardwoods. (flame maple, crotch poplar, & maple burl) They are all dyed different colors. The painted rocks are all the work of my dear wife. She hand paints them all. There are frogs, penguins, bumble bees, and lady bugs (several different colors of lady bugs!) Item for item, her rocks out sell everything I have on the tables. It keeps her smiling, and I love it when she’s all smiles. Win-win!

It went rather well. My wife managed to out sell me yet again, but I did manage to move a couple of large items this time. We will be doing it again next year for the 60th anniversary of Muskie Days.

Heya Barefeet, if you are in Nevis after 3pm stop in at Steve & Jill’s on main street. THE best place to grab a meal if you are in the area.

Great collection of goods you have there. Like the dyed card holders and cute birdhouses. Wonderful husband and wife team, I’m sure you both will do well in future fairs.

huh, I never did get a good shot of the rocks she paints. I can’t seem to find any decent shots so here’s the FB link. Check the photo albums for the good stuff

Pretty cool rocks. Awls are easy to make and good sellers. You can use scraps and glue them together then turn them on a lathe.
