Both of these items are my 2013 wedding gift collection. The chair goes to a good friend and the table to a aunt. The table is my second of that kind for them. It is based on a shaker design. My design for this chair is based on the welch stick chair. I used kiln dried cherry to speed things along. A welch stick chair is made using green wood. So the arms can be bent using steam. To make my chair i used a bent lamination process. layering and gluing many thin stripes into a form. Than gluing 3 1/2” blocks to the outsides and carving them to shape. I shaped my seat and the arm using a angle grinder with a power carving head. The finishes are poly on the table. Bush oil (b.l.o.) on the chair.

I really like the chair Wrench. The reverse taper spindle on the legs and arm supports gives it the appearance of being solid but not bulky. Nice work
