This is my latest project (actual it is my first since my bypass surgery about 2yr ago ) a Rockler cradle I made it out of mahogany it is my first lathe work and first major furniture project for my new grandson Lincoln who is soon to be arriving. I finished it with a six step process dye, pore filler, stain red mahognay ,3 coats of garnet shellac. Rubbed that out then top coated with 3 coats of satin catalyzed lacquer enjoy

A huge amount of time and effort was put into this! This is glorious and plain awesome. Great finish.

Excellent work on that gorgeous cradle. An heirloom piece that will be used for many generations. Great job and congrats on the new addition, lucky little one.

Have your say...
