Small end table made from cherry and barnwood veneer, this is part of a large client commission using wood from her childhood barn.

The top is not confusing at all… Just a patchwork of barnwood veneer. The client is a quilter and she loves to mix materials and textures.

Looks nice! I am fairly new to woodworking and am making a table with the center being basically an end grain chopping block look. How do you deal with the wood expansion when the grains are different directions like yours? thanks Jason

The top is pieced together veneer that is pressed onto a baltic birch plywood substrate… it is not solid wood, so there are no issues with movement at all.

mgustafson, very cool piece yet again. What kind of wood did you use for the legs? Are they a bent lamination or is it just an optical illusion?

Beautiful side table! Great design and mix of woods. You make reclaimed wood looked elegant. Great job!
