Yet another brick pattern cutting board. This time I made it end grain. I used alternating 2 inch strips of maple and cherry sandwiched between 1/4 inch strips of yellowheart. I ran out of yellowheart and this ended up being a little shorter than I had originally planned. I routed the edges and here it is. The yellowheart is is subtle but in the right light it shines like gold. The colors of the maple and cherry I used make it look aged and used.
I was highly impressed with myself today. My crosscuts were perfect and I barely had to sand after glue-up. I really have the hang of the cross-cut sled and parallel clamps. No fancy jigs or drum sanders for this girl.
Absolutely fabulous! I love it!
