These are two of my latest “made to order” bird houses. The construction is plywood which has been sealed and painted with oil based exterior paint. Pretty simple design but very time consuming projects. Thanks for looking!

Thank you! You couldn’t be more right….it is very tedious.

Thanks Charles, they are fun but these are one of those projects you enjoy making but are so relieved when they are done. :)

Very cute and practical, nice work. What did you use for the shingles?

Thanks Ron! The roof is made from 1/4 plywood. On the first one, each shingle was an individual piece…you talk about time consuming…it was over 280 pieces! On these (also plywood) I cut the strips and then gave the look of individual shingles by using a pattern I made and cutting it out on the scroll saw. I got almost the same look in half the time!

Wow! Your birdhouses look fantastic. Great design especially the roof. Love the addition of the name tags. i’m sure they are a hit. Great work!
