Hi everyone! It has been a little while since I posted anything new on here. I’ve been busy with school and work. However, this is a chess table that I designed and built in my Cabinet Making class, which I enjoyed taking very much. I made it out of Birch, Maple, and Mahogany, and stained it with a Red Mahogany wood stain. I hope you guys like it.

Looks great from up top. Can we get a side pic?

Great table. I just played a few games with my grandson. He has a glass board and glass pieces. I didn’t care much for his set. There is no contrast to the set and it was very hard to concentrate looking at the board and pieces. for me everything blended together. My age and eye sight might of had something to do with it. I like your table very much, it’s easy on the eye and it has nice contrasting woods. Very nice work!

Great looking table. Where did you get the chess pieces? I’ve been wanting to make a chess board but not the pieces. I’m putting this in my fav’s.

Well the chess pieces were actually a gift from my uncle, but I think he ordered them online somewhere. Sorry I’m not exactly sure where he got them though. This was a fun project, and I hope you get to build yours soon

Fine looking chess table, great design and beautiful finish. Will be an heirloom piece for sure. Outstanding work!
