My latest project. I just finished this (July 2013). I made it for my wife. We had a store bought swing that was falling apart (made from 2×3 pine stained a redwood color) that we got when we were married 21 years ago. It’s made from Cherry and has stainless steel hardware and chains. The finish was two coats of Teak oil followed by five coats of Spar Urethane. It’s smooth as glass and my wife loves it.

great looking swing, love the cup holders. This one should last well beyond 21 years, so you and your wife will have many years of enjoyment sitting on the porch in that swing.

Fantastic swing! Like the cherry, the cup holders and the finish. I’m sure it will last longer and be the comfiest chair around the house. Great job!
