This is a toy chest I just made for a couple of friends who just had a baby. It is made entirely of materials from the home center. Construction is from 3/4” poplar jointed and glued into panels. The plugs are walnut and made from some scrap I had around the shop. Finish was super easy, danish oil and wipe on poly. Home the little guy likes it.

Good job. I am sure he will get some use out of it. My dad made one for my daughter when she was born. She used to get in it and play. Now 25 years later, it is in her three yr old’s room. Yep, she gets in it and plays with her toys. :-)

Wonderful toy chest! Like the great design especially the walnut plugs. I’m sure the boy will love it and will have great memories with it. Well done!
