African Blackwood over Titanium Ring. This is a size 9.
This wood was screaming to be shown off. The way its really dark at some angles and explodes with gold hues at other angles is really stunning.
Made on my lathe over a few day’s time.

Beautiful ring! Amazing how one side versus the other looks like a totally different ring. I believe it is difficult to find such a light color in this type of wood. Did you turn or bend the wood around bangleguy’s blank? Grain pattern looks like bentwood method. Real “purty” as we say here in Texas.

Thank you Shannon
No, even though I finally did YouTube Wood Bending and I know know what that is now, I still did this on my lathe. *I “wood” however love to try wood bending – looks like a really cool and rewarding process.

Hey JR, a very very nice ring mate. It takes on so many different colours and shades depending on the angle and lighting when viewed…Really really beautiful ring, great job.

Thanks Robert! The rings you do are excellent and I like that you send small tin’s of your wax finish along with your rings; good idea!

Wow, beautiful piece. Really makes you feel good when something turns out soooo good. Well done.
-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
