A strange sign request

Had an order for two flip flops. One is 37 inches high, inch and a half thick and one is 18 inches high. They are made of sassafrass and I used the router to cut the design and lettering.

These look great. I imagine they’re house number/name signs? What did you use to darken the recesses?

Hi Mick, I just used black paint to paint in the recesses of the letters. I am a bit messy when I paint so I just sand it again and that takes care of my mess and leaves a nice clean edge to the letters.

Nice sign. I do like sasafrass wood. Nice bold grain.
