Bullet pens

First pen order, and it was a doozy. Pen style is the bullet cartridge pen from Penn State Industries. I used a variety of exotics for the blanks and had them all engraved before assembly. Finish is Hut friction polish. These are destined as gifts for a ranchers conference.

I hope you made a nice profit on these….I can see how much you have invested in the pen kits alone. Great work.

Love the engraving! I’d kill for a laser engraver. Are you sure they gave you the right bushings? The blanks look a little thin. I recently turned one of these from some Sheoak, you can see what I mean:

I wondered the same thing about the bushings. They do seem slightly undersized but I had turned all the blanks and engraved them before I fit them to the pens. Lesson learned. I also ran into problems with a few of the tubes. They were slightly loose and I had to CA glue them to the pen kit. Scary.
