Project Information

We've made a bandsawbox as a wedding gift for a friedn of mine. As i've seen here a similar project, i decided to do it on my own. My wife did the paper work, and i did the woodworking part.
It was a project that took me about 3 month, as i'm just working on weekends.
The box is made of spruce wood, the bottom and the back plate are made of laminated beech wood.
The height is about 15" , the wide about19", the depth is about 5".
I had some troubles with my bandsaw, but that project was just a little bit too large for it. But i get it done.
The sanding time was just awfull, it took me 2 weekends to do the sanding work with every machine i could get.

Now as it's finished, i'm happy, that you cannot see any entry cuts, when you're not looking closer. When you'll take out the microscope, you'll find 2 cuts, but they're are just cut trough, to cut out the inside of the box.
There are 7 drawers seen, and 3 were made as secret drawers.
I'll hope you'll enjoy watching the pictures!
Greetings from Austria!
Michael
